Everything worth doing is worth the effort! We will meet one time as a class and read fun facts about world records and learn how to attempt your own amazing record with your unique talents and abilities! This class includes guidelines for kids from Guinness World Records with specific steps to follow when officially attempting a world record challenge. Also included are strategies to be successful in your attempt. Bring your ideas and interact with classmates to set your sights on your own plan to becoming a title holder! During class, we will be inspired by world record categories such as longest, fastest, highest, etc, and share what we are each interested in attempting. Then we will go through each step in the exciting process of how to attempt to achieve a new world record. BONUS: We will also explore new kid-friendly challenges coming soon from Guinness World Records. Take on a new challenge or turn your skill or talent into a goal of a world record attempt. In this class you will share your talents and discover new facts about yourself and your world.
Learning Goals
Students will be introduced to Guinness World Records and the official steps to apply and achieve a record breaking attempt to potentially become a title holder. Skills include goal setting, tracking, and record-keeping. The sky's the limit!
