In this fast and fun Winter Camp, we will use icons of the season to practice shapes. From snowmen to snowflakes, igloos to sleds, trees to yummy treats -- we will practice identifying and drawing simple shapes. We will then use those shapes to create fun scenes and characters. Finally, what is a fun camp without games? We will play some simple shape games over the three days, including Bingo in the final meeting. Shapes covered during the lessons: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval,...
Students will work on identifying shapes and creating with them. Shapes covered: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, star, diamond.
There will be worksheets posted in the classroom following each lesson, but these are optional.
Students can have something to write on and with during class if they would like, but it isn't required. For the third class, the student should have their Shapes Bingo card that is listed. It can be played online in a separate window during class or printed out ahead of time.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parents may need to help students with using the device during class, such as muting and unmuting.
