Description

Class Experience

Students will be able to explain the specific structure of a Shakespearean sonnet, pinpoint figurative language such as metaphors, and find meaning in the text of the sonnet. 
Graduating with an English Teaching degree from Brigham Young University, I have studied and taught Shakespearean sonnets and plays various times throughout my teaching career.

A one-page handout that should be printed will be supplied.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
The second line of this poem says “If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun.” Most of the time students are respectful as this line is read, and I, as the teacher, will not spend much time on it, but if you have any concerns about this line, feel free to message me.
