Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Discover the richness of Shakespeare and his comedic plays. Build your own skills at literary analysis and discussion.

This class will explore Shakespeare's play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. This class will be a part of a series of multi-day courses. Each will cover a different Shakespearean play. This class will explore the historical background and style of theatre in Elizabethan England, as well as the literary elements found in the plays. We will discuss each act together to ensure the student has a good comprehension of the subject and literary elements of the play. In class, we will discuss plot, characterization, form, and a variety of other literary elements.

I recommend my class on The Renaissance as background information, as well as my literary analysis writing class as preparation to writing literary analysis essays.
