Students will need to complete the following assignments each week: 1. Watch the video each week. Most are less than 5 minutes long. 2. Read the printed version of the story. It is a good idea to print out the story to refer to when answering the questions. 3. Watch the video lesson about the play of the week. Videos are shared as a link from the Google Classroom. Pre-recorded video lessons are stored in Google Drive. Families can access the videos with a link to a Google Drive Folder where the videos are stored. No login required. The link allows students to access the video without needing to provide any log in information. 4. Students will need to answer 20 questions a week in Google Forms. The questions are all short answer and essay questions. Students will need to type the answers to the questions in Google Forms each week. 5. Do one of the crafts each week. Each week 3-4 different options for crafts will be shared in the Outschool Classroom. Crafts may include a coloring page, paper models, designing a book cover, creating a comic book scene, designing a mask, etc. See the class schedule for a list of what crafts will be assigned each week. If you learner has any trouble with the craft, please let me know. I can work with you to find suitable alternatives. Most crafts will be shared as printable PDF files that you can print and complete at home. Crafts can also be complete digitally if the student prefers or if you don't want to print anything. Do what is best for you and your learner.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will receive detailed feedback about the short answer and essay questions from the Google Forms.
