It's amazing what simple pencil shading techniques can do for your art! Through my guided drawing process, students will learn how to make three or more flat shapes look 3-dimensional (form) with a few simple pencil shading techniques. We will discuss ways to extend this technique to other types of art that students like to create. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary! Just come learn and find out how easy it is! Students will create a variety of sketches which will enable them to explore further on their own.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to use the properties of light and shadow on an object to give it the illusion of being three-dimensional. Students will also learn how to draw a "cast" shadow.

As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
