Let's get gorier!

This is an advanced course. Students should have the basic skills and knowledge covered in my beginner's course:
https://outschool.com/classes/sfx-special-effects-makeup-camp-course-5-classes-over-5-weeks-4Ce2OLFq
(core skills required: cream contouring, bruise and wound effects, latex application)

This course will cover 5 special FX makeup techniques, but students are welcome and encouraged to experiment between classes! Each class will consist of a brief introductory lecture/discussion, a hands on lesson, and time to experiment under my direction. A certificate of completion will be presented to each student at the end of the course.

Week 1: Slices & Scars
In our first class, we'll review wound techniques to carve up some Joker-style slashes and scarring!

Week 2: Stitches & Staples
Next, we'll kick it up a notch by adding to our wounds. String, staples, tape, bandages - we'll play around with incorporating such elements into our looks.

Week 3: Melting & Peeling
In this extra messy class, we'll experiment with the many lovely, gory looks possible with latex, whether bubbling, dripping, or hanging in shreds!

Week 4: Bumps & Blisters
This look is not for the faint of heart! We'll be making ooey-gooey, poppable blisters!

Week 5: Zombie Infection
The ultimate compilation of SFX techniques: ZOMBIES! Infected, diseased, moldy - an SFX dream!

Please be warned that some images and projects may be unsettling to some. I do not show images of real injuries, fake/makeup only! I am always sure to warn students that these images are coming, just in case anyone wants the chance to look away! But be warned: if real blood makes your student queasy, fake blood might, too!
