Class experience
Beginner Level
In this class, we will create a stitched-up gash and various other wounds on our hands, arms (and face if the student wishes to). We will be using household products as listed in the supplies section. There is no need to go purchase any costly special effects products. There is a safe (edible even) recipe for fake blood if the student doesn’t have any. The fake blood needs to be prepared prior to class, since that takes up class time. We will work together, each step, to create our skin...
This class is creating horror/gore prosthetics....please do not sign up if your child is sensitive to that subject.
Fake Blood (either purchased or PRE-MADE using the recipe in the classroom) Tweezers Toilet tissue White craft glue Eyelash glue (only necessary if you are putting in your face) Foundation makeup (close match to skin) Face powder (optional, just makes foundation dry quicker) Eyeshadow palette (red, pink, black, grey, purple) Note: A cheap dark purple lipstick makes GREAT bruise marks, if you have one, bring it. Makeup brushes Qtips type cotton swabs Baby wipes or makeup remover wipes Liquid black eyeliner (can be an eyeliner pen) *Clothing that you don’t mind getting stained! Remember to have your fake blood 🩸 made prior to class. You can cut the recipe in half or even quarters...a little goes a long way. And it tastes good too 🧛♀️
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The Recipe for Fake Blood is posted in the classroom *you can definitely 1/2 the recipe....we won't get THAT bloody. NOTE: Students will use tweezers to pick apart the tissue after it's glued on their hand or arm. They should know tweezer safety prior to taking the class.
