Join us as we create an authentic 1770 gown and cap just like Felicity may have worn in Colonial Williamsburg during the Revolutionary War.
Class experience
In this class we will work together to sew a traditional, colonial style dress for 18" dolls. This style of dress would have been worn during the Revolutionary War and is similar to the ones Felicity wears in the American Girl books. Prior to beginning class students must already be comfortable with their sewing machine and able to sew straight lines. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will need to have access to a working sewing machine for this class. The instructor will be using an older version of this machine: https://amzn.to/2XtCcsY Students are responsible for knowing how to turn on, and thread their spacific machine prior to beginning class. If you need help with these steps often craft store employees (who you can meet with personally) and/or youtube videos are of great assistance. Please let the instructor know prior to class if you are still struggling and we will find a way to help.
