Description
Class Experience
In this class we will work together to sew a dress, sunbonnet, and apron for 18" dolls. This dress can be made to look like any of your favorite pioneer characters including Kirsten Larson (American Girl), Laura Ingalls Wilder (Little House on the Prairie), or any of your other favorite pioneer characters. Completed outfits will fit most 18" dolls including American Girl, Playtime by Eimmie, Our Generation, My Life As, Journey Girls, New Adventures Style Dolls, and more. Prior to beginning...
In this class we will be reinforcing our knowledge of ruffles and interfacing. We will work on a new skill of buttonholes and buttons.
Lesson 1: printed copy of pattern from PixieFairePatterns - https://etsy.me/3u3x5kk Lesson 2-3: fabric and other materials required for pattern (we will discuss these more during lesson 1) scissors, pins, table space iron and ironing board Lesson 4-12: sewing machine (and adult supervision/assistance if necessary)
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students will need to have access to a working sewing machine for this class. The instructor will be using an older version of this machine: https://amzn.to/2XtCcsY Students are responsible for knowing how to turn on, and thread their spacific machine prior to beginning class. If you need help with these steps often craft store employees (who you can meet with personally) and/or youtube videos are of great assistance. Please let the instructor know prior to class if you are still struggling and we will find a way to help.
