Sewing Beginner - Quick Project: 18" Doll - Dress Form
Class experience
In this class we will work together to sew a dress form for 18" dolls. We will cut the pattern, sew the form, stuff it, and glue to the base. Each step will be demonstrated by the instructor as we walk through the creation together. The instructor will not be providing instructions on running a sewing machine in this class and students are expected to know how to sew a straight stitch on their machine. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There must be an adult present in the students location during class in case of emergency. Students will need to have access to a working sewing machine for this class. The instructor will be using an older version of this machine: https://amzn.to/2XtCcsY Students are responsible for knowing how to turn on, and thread their spacific machine prior to beginning class. If you need help with these steps often craft store employees (who you can meet with personally) and/or youtube videos are of great assistance. Please let the instructor know prior to class if you are still struggling and we will find a way to help. Students will also be using hot glue for this class and parental supervision is suggested.
