We will not be covering basic sewing machine uses and it is assumed that students can use the basic functions on their sewing machines (straight stitch) before beginning this class. You pick the fabric so you can match school uniforms, your favorite outfit, or make something fun and unique. Free pattern will be provided in classroom. Students will need to provide printed copy of pattern, 1/4 yard fabric in two different colors/patterns, and 16" of 1/4" elastic. Please note that this is a leveled class. Each student is required to know how to accomplish the tasks in the previous levels before beginning classes of a higher level as I will no longer be covering those skills in higher level courses. If students need help learning a skill they have missed in a previous level class please message me and I can point you to a class where we teach that skill or set up a private lesson to make sure the skill is learned. Parental Guidance
Students will need to have access to a working sewing machine for this class. The instructor will be using an older version of this machine: https://amzn.to/2XtCcsY
Students are responsible for knowing how to turn on, and thread their spacific machine prior to beginning class. If you need help with these steps often craft store employees (who you can meet with personally) and/or youtube videos are of great assistance. Please let the instructor know prior to class if you are still struggling and we will find a way to help.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young Univeristy - Idaho
Hello! I'm Aubrey and I am mom to 9 crazy children ages four through sixteen. We live on a homestead in Idaho where we raise rabbits, chickens, turkeys, ducks, quail, goats, pigs and sheep.
I have a degree in Math Education and one in Family History but I love to teach a number of subjects. I absolutely love meeting new students! My favorite thing about teaching is helping my students to learn to use the tools that I am giving them in their daily life. Join my classes to learn about math, English, history and many more homestead themed topics to help you complete daily tasks and possibly find a new hobby in the process.
I'm excited to meet you!
