Sewing Beginner: Farm Apron (Free Pattern in Multiple Sizes)
Class experience
In this class we will work together to learn to sew an apron for ourselves (or as a gift). Day 1: Picking your fabric - we will discuss types of fabric and what fabrics are appropriate for this project. We will cut out our pattern pieces so they are ready to cut out our fabric on day 2. Students will need to purchase (or otherwise source) the fabric for their project between day 1 and day 2. Day 2: Cutting your pattern - will will work together to cut our fabric. Students will have a better understanding of fabrics, patterns (and instructions) and basic sewing methods on woven fabrics after finishing this class.
Homework Offered
The homework for this class varies by class. Class 1 - source fabric Class 2 - finish cutting if you don't finish during class Class 3-6 - finish the construction to the point we ended in class0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will need to have access to a working sewing machine for this class. The instructor will be using an older version of this machine: https://amzn.to/2XtCcsY Students are responsible for knowing how to turn on, and thread their spacific machine prior to beginning class. If you need help with these steps often craft store employees (who you can meet with personally) and/or youtube videos are of great assistance. Please let the instructor know prior to class if you are still struggling and we will find a way to help.
