Sewing Beginner - Camp Style: 18 Inch Doll Clothes - Maxi Skirt
Ready for stretchy fabric? In this class we’ll be making a classic maxi skirt using knit fabric. Project includes straight sewing lines and an elastic casing. Hint: Pick striped fabric for a uniquely fun finished project!

Class Experience
Students will have a better understanding of fabrics, patterns (and instructions) and basic sewing methods on knit fabrics after finishing this class.
The homework for this class varies by class. Class 1 - source fabric Class 2 - finish cutting if you don't finish during class Class 3 & 4 - finish the construction of the skirt if you don't finish in class

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students will need to have access to a working sewing machine for this class. The instructor will be using an older version of this machine: https://amzn.to/2XtCcsY Students are responsible for knowing how to turn on, and thread their spacific machine prior to beginning class. If you need help with these steps often craft store employees (who you can meet with personally) and/or youtube videos are of great assistance. Please let the instructor know prior to class if you are still struggling and we will find a way to help.
