Attention all budding sewists!

Come learn machine and hand sewing basics in this complete 8 week flex class.

How does my sewing machine work? (Stitches, tension, bobbin winding, threading etc.)
What type of fabric should I use? (Fabric uses and care)
What does this mean? (Following a sewing pattern)
Where should I cut this? (Pattern placement and cutting fabric)
How do I add zippers, buttons, straps, pockets or elastic?
Can I sew this by hand? (Basic hand-sewing/ embroidery stitches and when to use them)

A new video tutorial and any PDF or project pattern needed will be provided each week on Sundays (EST) to view and print. Here are the projects covered:
Week 1 - Pillowcase
Week 2 - Drawstring backpack
Week 3 - Pajama shorts
Week 4 - Utility belt or apron
Week 5 - Messenger bag
Week 6 - Easy plush teddy bear
Week 7 - Zipper pouch

Completed projects will then be shared to our classroom on Outschool so we can admire each others’ work!

Remember that I am at your disposal to answer any and all questions at any time during the 8 weeks of class either through messaging or directly in the classroom.

My goal is that each student leaves this course with the knowledge and confidence to sew independently.
