A 3 Day Sewing Camp that will teach textiles, pattern design, and hand stitching of cute Book Character Bookworm- Paige Turner-with character analysis & exclusive digital printables.

Class experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner - Advanced Level
Students will develop fine motor skills by cutting, drawing, stitching and stuffing.
Students will develop a basic understanding of patterns.
Students will develop a basic understanding of fabrics.
Students will gain knowledge in construction of handcrafted items.
Students will gain knowledge of characters in stories and begin to analyse them.
Students will gain problem solving skills as well as confidence in this sewing class for kids.
Students will be captivated in Reading & Sewing Curriculum learning many objectives in both areas as we continue through the course.
Miss Mumma is a master seamstress and sewing instructor.  With over 3 1/2 decades of dedicated experience in the world of sewing, Ms Mumma stands as a true luminary in the field.  Her journey through fabric and thread has been nothing short of remarkable, marked by a profound passion for creativity and craftsmanship.  
From a young age, Ms Mumma was captivated by the art of sewing. What began as a childhood fascination quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit. Over the years, she honed her skills meticulously, delving deep into the realm of textiles, patterns, and design. Her innate talent for transforming fabrics into exquisite garments became evident as she effortlessly crafted unique and stunning pieces.
Students will need sewing scissors, fabric (felt of 3-4 different colors), thread (a matching color of embroidery floss), embroidery needle ( large eye plastic needle for young students), a fabric pencil ( or sewing chalk) and stuffing ( cotton pollyfill)
This class is designed specifically for young learners.  This course will require drawing, cutting, and stitching. Always ensure your child understands safety!  Explain proper use of scissors and needles.   For younger or inexperienced students, be near during the content instruction to help guide your child
 ( if needed).
