Description

Class Experience

In this one tim class, students will learn the basics of how to read a pattern while sewing a hoodie. We will begin with introductions where students can share their experience. Then I will explain how to measure and choose the pattern size they will use. Next we will cut the pattern pieces of Simplicity pattern S9028. I have taught many students of a variety of ages, both live and virtually, how to sew and do other crafts.

Simplicity pattern S9028
1 1/2 yards of stretch knit (fleece, sweatshirt knit, or jersey)
Thread
1 yard of 1/8” cording
Straight pins
Scissors 
Sewing machine

2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Students will be using a sewing machine and should already be familiar with machine safety and know how to sew with their machine. Parents may be off camera to assist. We will also be using scissors and pins.
