In this 4-week FLEX class, students will be learning to make their own fidget toys using basic sewing skills.
Class experience
I will post the lesson for the week each Sunday, students are encouraged to have the work done by the following Sunday so that they do not fall behind. When you have the project for that week done you will get to post it to the classroom for everyone to see! Each week when students post their work they will be asked to comment on the work of several other students and tell them what they like best about their project. I began sewing when I was 11 and started teaching sewing as a senior in high school at the homeschool group I attended. This was how I discovered my love of teaching and I have been teaching in some capacity ever since. I now have over 10 years of teaching experience.

Week one supplies: 3 different colors of felt, (standard pre-cut size, approximately 12 inches by 9 inches) 6 buttons of your color choice, all the same size Scissors needle and thread Week two supplies: 2 pieces of felt (standard pre-cut size, approximately 12 inches by 9 inches) A pencil or pen to mark the lines for the maze Pins A needle and thread A marble Week three supplies: A quarter yard of soft fleece Pins Needle and thread Pillow stuffing Dry beans and rice Marbles Scissors Week four supplies: Scissors Pins A needle and thread Rice or beans A quarter yard of a fabric you find comforting to the touch Cute button eyes A marker that will show up on your fabric.
Students will need to have some basic sewing experience, if they do not I would recommend this class first.
