Class Experience
In this ongoing beginner sewing class, sewing basics, sewing proficiency, and techniques will be presented through short presentations as well as completing small, simple sewing projects. Please, have your learner already operating their sewing machine proficiently before enrolling in this ongoing class. This class is taught in English.
I started teaching myself to sew at age 12 and since then have sewn everything from my clothing and costumes, to upholstering furniture and making my own bridesmaids dress. I can creatively sew with or without a pattern. I did take a semester of sewing in high school with a teacher that helped me fill in a lot of gaps in sewing knowledge. Thank you Mrs. Mason! I'm actually quite excited about teaching this ongoing course and passing along years of experience!
I'll put each week's supplies in the classroom.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Learners may need help operating their sewing machines or using the iron. I may or may not use Youtube to give learners links to extra applicable content or sewing tips. They do not need an account to view them through Outschool classroom.
