What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Students will learn the parts and uses of a basic sewing machine. How to thread it and make a bobbin. They will be able to complete a small project on their own. There will be materials that I will go over with them in class. I will lead a discussion on different sewing projects. Students will be able to ask questions and interact with me and each other. If time allows, they can share their projects in class. Learners do not need prior experience, but it is strongly suggested they have a sewing machine. Even mini ones for kids are fine and do a great job. Kids' machines start at around $35.00, as they grow in experience (and want to stick with it!) you can upgrade.
Learning Goals
Students will know the parts of their machine and how they work. They will know how to operate it. They will know how to make and "drop" a bobbin.

Supply List
A sewing machine is not strictly required, but strongly suggested. Students will be unable to make a project without a sewing machine but will come away knowing how the machine works. Thread, scissors, material. A candle or soap is optional to 'wax' the tread which makes it easier to thread the needle and keeps it from tangling.
