Class experience

President Lincoln's Cottage has been open to the public since 2008, and we daily facilitate conversations with visitors of all ages about the history of the Civil War and slavery. Our museum educators, many of whom have masters degrees in related fields, undergo up to 8 weeks of training in content and pedagogy.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This program will discuss race and slavery during the Civil War. It will also ask students to identify their own priorities for civic engagement.
