Seventh Grade Math: Full Curriculum With Small Group ( once a week)

In this ongoing course, students can receive support in a variety of math topics. This ongoing course will cover the 7th grade Math Common Core Standards for those who need support throughout the academic school year.

Class Experience

US Grade 7
In this ongoing class, teacher will use the Common Core Standards as a guide to teach math topics related to 7th grade.   In this ongoing course, I will do a quick assessment of each student to determine where they are in their understanding of the concept. 
Class structure: 1)  Greetings
                            2) short lesson on the topic (It will be teacher led using a dry erase board/ slide show/ power point presentation)
                            3) Each child will be able to demonstrate their understanding  of the topic.
                            4)  Kahoot game/ Blooket game / based on the topic. Summer add on is Trivia pursuit or Jeopardy
Due to the fact that this is an ongoing course, students can enroll for additional support and practice. Homeschooled students can enroll for a complete  math curriculum. Students are charged weekly and can enroll or unenroll at any time. 
K5 learning website Worksheet (with permission) will be used in the classroom, at times. IXL website with permission will be used , as well as k5 learning website.
Week 10 : (November 7, 2022) Divide Decimals
Week 11 : (November 14, 2022) Add and Subtract Fractions with Unlike denominators
Week 12 : ( November 21, 2022) simplify algebraic expressions with distributive property.
Week 13 ( simplifying algebraic expressions)
Week 13 : (November 28, 2022) Divide Fractions
Week 14 (December 5, 2022) Data Graph
Week 15 (December 12, 2022) Money and time
Week 16 (December 19, 2022)  Area and Volume

 Semester II
February 13, 2023 (Week 1) Comparing fractions / decimals
February 20,2023 (Week 2) comparing and adding decimals 
February 27, 2023 (Week 3) subtracting decimals

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Students will use blooket, kahoot, ixl, k5learning, and canva to complete assignments and play interactive games. Canva, Ixl and k5 learning will be used as a screen share. For blooket and Kahoot, no log in or sign up is required. Students will click the link and enter the game id to play.
