Class Experience
This course will cover the New Seven Wonders of the World. Students will learn the who, what, when, where, why, and how of the Wonders of the World including why a New list was created. This course is part of my opening lecture in my college-level art history course. These locations are all covered in the scope of art history. In years of teaching, I have found having an introduction that covers cultures and locations from around the world opens students up to a global perspective. This list was created recently but includes things on four continents. Getting students to consider location, culture, reason, and importance of these places allows them to begin opening up to what makes art art.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
