Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the basic music skills needed to play white and black keys on the piano and enjoy the music-making process.
All learners are encouraged to practice 10-15 pers day for 5 days a week. Piano Practice Charts are shared the day before class. TThe Piano Practice Chart has stars to color each day after practice is completed. The lesson song pages to practice at home are listed on this handout.
Learners will need a Keyboard or Piano for the Live Classes and Practice Time at Home Learners need TWO Music Books for our piano classes from the "Music for Little Mozarts Book 2" Series Please purchase these before class begins using the link below: 1. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learner progress is assessed with observation. Teacher Kay will songs played on the piano at each lesson in addition to workbook pages completed for the lesson each week.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parents should ensure the students' video is aimed at the student with hands visible on the piano or keyboard. Parents are encouraged to copy the Piano Practice Chart for the Week's Lessons. Lesson is 25 minutes per week in a live lesson with Teacher Kay . Practice at Home - 10-15 min per day 5 days a week. (Color a star next to the days you practice)
We will use the "Music for LIttle Mozarts - Book 2". Lesson Book and Workbook
