In this 4-week online class, students will listen to Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev, learn about this musical piece, and learn about musical structures. Class Experience In this 4-week online class, students will listen to Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev, learn about this musical piece, and learn about musical structures. This class is designed to cover Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev. In order to understand the material, the student needs to be able to read at a 6th-grade level and write complete sentences. Students will receive copies of all the activity sheets they need. Assignments are optional but strongly recommended. Students will receive the most benefit from this course if they complete every assignment and activity. Assignments will include listening to the music, watching videos related to the subject, reading short descriptions, discussions via the message board, and a creative project. Course expectations: This is a self-paced schedule course, meaning that there are no live meetings. You should be working through the assignments each week in order to get the most benefit out of the course. The instructor will always be available via message and will typically reply within 12 to 24 hours.
