We will start with a fun warm-up to help students be familiar with the Zoom platform and using the interactive whiteboard. We will sing a song about days of the week, then, read the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We will use prediction skills to see what might happen next in the story and, depending on the levels of the children, take turns reading portions of the text. On each page, we will look for colors and count numbers. Once finished with the story, we will use the whiteboard...
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is such a fun book to read and to use for teaching. I have used it with my students in the classroom as well as the students I tutor to practice colors, numbers, sequencing, and coloring.
