A 7-week class where students will review the Septimus Heap series (1 book per week). This course aims to increase critical thinking skills by dissecting the books based on their plots, characters, and the world in which they live in.

This course aims to analyze the Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage. Each week, one book will be dissected. Homework Offered
As an optional assignment. Students will be allowed to write a short composition about their favorite character by identifying key aspects such as background, character development, interaction with other characters, and personality. Students are welcome to submit this assignment at any time during the duration of the course and will receive written feedback regarding their ability to dissect the character (not on grammar or spelling).Assessments Offered

The book is recommended for students ages 8-12. However, it may be more appealing to older students due to the complex topics that it covers including death and politics. Please be advised those topics will be discussed during lessons.
