In this ongoing class, we will practice handwriting legibility in sentence writing while playing games, exploring science topics or creating silly stories. This class in for intermediate handwriters ready to write more.

Intermediate Level
Come explore a variety of fun topics while practicing handwriting legibility in sentences. Each week, we will visit a different topic while practicing line placement, letter size, and spacing. I will encourage and demonstrate correct letter formation but will not force learners to change their letter formation unless the letter is illegible. This class rotates 4 themes: Would You Rather 20 Questions 10 Sentence Story Weird Science Current Schedule- 12/11/24: Would You Rather 12/18/24: 20 Questions 12/25/24: NO CLASS 1/1/25: NO CLASS 1/8/25: 10 Sentence Story 1/15/25: Weird Science 1/22/25: Would You Rather This class is led by an occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience in the public schools. I use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum as well as The Size Matters Handwriting Program to teach legibility and letter formations.

Learning Needs
All of my classes are created with all abilities in mind. I break down tasks into simple steps and provide opportunity for a lot of repetition. I encourage my learners to be okay with making mistakes because mistakes teach us too.
Parental Guidance
When learning about animals, many videos touch on the mating and birthing processes. I do not go into depth on these subjects. In nature we also experience hunting and eating practices of animals. I try to limit graphic images but the occasional animal eating another animal should be expected.
Pre-Requisites
Learners need to be able to write all letters of the alphabet with the majority of the letters legible. They should also be able to write a sentence without getting distracted or needing to stop for breaks.
