In this one-time class, your child will engage in hands-on, sensory play to learn shapes. Children will use both hands to manipulate play-dough to mold, roll, flatten, pinch, etc. to make shapes and fun creations. Your child will learn simple shapes while also strengthening their hands and using fine motor and bilateral coordination skills. The skills they learn while playing with play-dough in this class will also help children with other tasks, such as using utensils to eat, tying their shoes, fastening buttons/snaps, handwriting, and so much more! I can't wait to see your child in my class!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Morgan Skaggs and I am an occupational therapist with 10 years of experience working with children in both the school and community settings. I have also been an online teacher for over a year. My classes will focus on the skills your child needs to be successful in their everyday life, whether that be during their school day or at home. This may include handwriting skills like pencil grasp, letter formation, line placement, and word spacing; fine motor skills for writing, cutting, or life skills like fasteners or tying shoes; and crafts to support sensory exploration. Outside of occupational therapy, I am a mom of three children ages 10, 8, and 2. I enjoy health and fitness, so I will also offer classes that include fun ways to get your child moving. I love engaging children in hands on learning through play, crafts, and movement to make learning fun! I can't wait to see your child in my class!
