📚 We'll use the five senses (with a focus on touch, sound, sight, and movement) to help learners connect deeply with each letter. Whether we’re tracing a Vav with our feet, forming a Bet out of playdough, or listening for the first sound in “nachash,” this camp is all about making Hebrew memorable and fun. ------------------------------------------------------ What to expect in each session: 🎨 Visual connection (picture + letter: e.g., yad for Yud) 👂 Auditory play (sound games + first letter ID) ✋ Tactile activities (air tracing, playdough letters) 🦶 Kinesthetic movement (floor tracing, jumping games) ✏️ Optional extension ideas for taste/smell at home This class is designed for young learners with little or no prior Hebrew experience. Each week we’ll gently build on what we've learned, using playful repetition to support retention. Learners will leave camp with confidence, curiosity, and a love of the Alef-Bet! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🧒 Who is this class for? Kids ages 4–7 Learners who love hands-on activities and movement Great for new Hebrew learners and those who are building early Alef-Bet familiarity Ideal as a summer enrichment camp!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree in Elementary Education from University of Maryland
I’ve been reading, writing, and speaking Hebrew for over 20 years—from the time I was in kindergarten all the way through the present.
I got the idea for this camp from my experience tutoring a six year old who benefitted from my hands on approach to learning Alef-Bet and my experience reinforcing my 4 year old son's learning with fun auditory hints.
