Semi-Private Girl’s Singing Club | 2-3 Learners

Welcome! In this Semi-Private Girl's Singing Club, learners will build healthy singing habits, confidence and make friends along the way.


Class Structure:

Hello/check-in-
I always greet each student individually and give them a warm welcome to class, asking them how their day/week was etc. It is important to me that each student feels seen and included!

Warmup-
Each lesson will begin with a vocal warm-up in which we will use fun and engaging exercises such as trills, sirens, scales and silly tongue twisters. I teach each new exercise to students individually first (unmuted), then we will sing them as a group (muted). Over time, these exercises will help learners build foundational skills that will have them singing through their range with more ease and confidence! We will work on breathing techniques, vocal registers, diction, dynamics and more. Technique will always remain beginner friendly.

Song-
In each class, we will learn a portion of a pre-selected song. We will generally spend 2 weeks on each song, however please feel free to join anytime as I always review what we learned the week prior if we are on our second week. For the song portion, I will begin by sharing my screen as we view/listen to the lyric video together. I will then guide students in learning the melody and lyrics line by line, accompanied by live chords on the piano or ukulele. As I teach the song leaners will be muted, so they can best hear themselves and the demonstrations. Afterwards, learners will be given the opportunity to practice singing what they have learned solo and unmuted. Solos are encouraged but not required. My feedback will always be positive. I will not be critiquing students in from of each other. I will point out what they are doing well and praise them for their efforts!
