Class Experience

Class Experience
Students will receive individual 55 min. engaging instruction at their appropriate proficiency level. (Beginner -Advanced)
Depending on students experience curriculum will differ. This class is also ideal for students who are currently taking High School 
German and would like to enhance their experience or are in need of additional help. 

Every class will include:

There will be various opportunities in each class to practice speaking.

I am a certified German Teacher (K-12) in the state of Texas and a native speaker. I believe in semi-total immersion, which means as the course progresses the instructional language becomes more and more German. 
I love sharing the gift of language with children and believe that a language acquisition course must be both interactive and engaging. Students will have a variety of speaking opportunities in my class, to not only improve conversational abilities, but to also boost self-confidence. I grew up in the former East Germany close to the city of Dresden. I am currently finishing my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught German for over 10 years for various ages both online and face-to face.

Homework assignments are optional but recommended: 
Students will have homework assignments in various forms: 
Workbook assignments 
Edpuzzle Assignment
Writing or Project assignment (posters, crafts etc)

Printed out German Notebook (print outs will be provided)
Pencils 
Clue 
Scissors (adult supervision required)

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Edpuzzle

Frequent formal and informal assessments are given by using different quizzes and assignments.

55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

All source contain only child appropriate content. 
Edpuzzle will be used for some homework assignment. (Account creation through Google will be necessary)
Onilo (online childrens books) and Lingonetz (german language learning website) 
will be used during screen share and only contain child appropriate content.
