Class experience
Students will be matched in this beginning class to make sure that they are around the same level in experience. Ideally, the students will be starting band in a school program but this is not required. Before class starts, I will email the parents to find out the level of the student. Lesson 1 - Putting the flute together, getting a sound, caring for the flute, and p. 4 and 5 - For Flutes Only, For Woodwinds Only Lesson 2 - Whole note, whole rest, half note, half rest, p. 6 and 7 Lesson 3...
Students will learn the foundations of flute playing or improve their previous skills.
Homework Offered
Students will be assigned specific homework at the end of each lesson. I post the class assignment in the classroom page weekly.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
