Teacher expertise and credentials
CHERYL ROBICHAUD
ARTIST BIO
Cheryl Robichaud was born and raised in Saint John New Brunswick. She has set up an art studio in her new home on the Neripis River where she loves to paint full time now and enjoys fishing and boating on the river. She started painting about 30 years ago in between raising a family and working full time as a lab technician. Cheryl has had many mentors along the way to expand her knowledge of painting. Early in her artistic career she would attend art classes with Saint John Art legends Ray Butler and Robert Percival and later on and more recently was in a group that was mentored and inspired by the very talented Dr. Herzl Kashetsky. Cheryl’s passion for painting has grown from what began as a hobby painting pet portraits for people has turned into a passion for painting many things such as landscapes, water scenes and wildlife and even people portraits.
Currently Cheryl is working very passionately on a series of beach scenes and rocks from some of the beaches she grew up on; Bay Shore and Saints Rest (Irving Nature Park). She paints mostly in Acrylic Medium with fine detail and realism in her work. You can see some of her works at the Serendipin Art Gallery in Saint Andrews, Bell Tower Artisan Boutique in Saint Martins or contact her on facebook or instagram.
Now on a more personal note to tell you little about the classes I would like to teach, I would like to teach private or small groups beginner or intermediate students probably age 12 and up gearing towards the more serious students who want to learn how to put some detail into their artwork .I enjoy bringing a painting to life with all the small details . We would work on the same picture step by step bringing the painting to life.
