Class Experience

Each week there is a significant amount of reading homework, and every three weeks a significant amount of writing homework. Please be sure this workload is feasible for your learner!
We will read the following books, which are available to purchase at most bookstores or in ebook format. I encourage students to get the actual hard copies if possible so they they might highlight and make notes inside!

The War that Saved my Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley (historical fiction)
The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill (high fantasy)
The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise by Dan Gemeinhart (realistic fiction)
Each student will receive text feedback on their writing pieces. Additionally, students can receive a grade upon request.
