Class Experience

This class is designed for students who have previous experience in playing the guitar and basic skills with reading music.

During this course, young musicians will continue to learn how to read music with a relaxed approach, play melodies on the guitar and begin playing simple chords. Students will work on their sight-reading skills. Students will need to purchase a guitar book for this class.

Each week students will learn and review music terms and symbols that will help them become more fluent with reading music. As a group, students will work on melodies and chords, but students will be encouraged to also choose a song to work on during the week and play for the teacher and or the class.
