There will be a total of 16 Meetings in 8 Weeks, 2 meetings per week.. The topics will be covered in all areas of Science which includes Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Science. I will be using Google Slides, Videos, Lectures, White Board and Projects to teach Lessons. In this Class, students will study all the important Science Concepts required for the Middle school students to prepare for High school science courses. This is a Semester long course and covers important State Standards from middle level science courses .Students may also join in between to attend certain topics which they consider they need tutoring for. All Sessions will be interactive and students will also get to participate in Gimkit and Online Assessments on NearPod.Students will be allowed to also raise hand and ask questions for better clarity. I am a Certified Science Teacher for Texas, Virginia and South Carolina, still working in a Public School in Texas. This class will help students strengthen their conceptual knowledge in Science and prepare them better for high school science. I will teach each topic during one Meeting and provide notes and videos for the topic so that students can practice at home. The Schedule for the Meetings is provided below: Meeting 1: Viruses and Prokaryotes: Meeting 2: Plants: Students will learn about structure and function of parts of plants. Meeting 3: Animals: Students will learn about different classification in animals Meeting 4: Invertebrates: Students will study life cycle of certain invertebrates Meeting 5: Vertebrates: Students will study life cycle of certain vertebrates \Meeting 6: Thermal Energy and Heat: Students will learn about the difference between heat and temperature and the method of heat transfer. Meeting 7: Waves: Students will learn about the properties of waves and how they travel. Meeting 8: Sound: Students will learn about the properties of sound as an energy and also structure of the ear and how sound can be heard. Meeting 9: Electromagnetic Radiation: Students will learn about the different components of the electromagnetic radiation, their properties and uses. Meeting 10: Chemical Bonding: Students will learn about the different kinds of chemical bonds with examples. Meeting 11: Matter: Students will learn about the properties and states of matter and the kinetic theory of particles. Meeting 12: Solutions, Acids and Bases: Students will compare and contrast properties of acids and bases and also identify acids and bases using an experiment. Meeting 13: Balancing Equations: Students will learn about how to balance simple equations. Meeting 14: Visible Light: Students will learn about the properties of light, reflection and refraction, mirrors and lenses. Meeting 15: Bio-Molecules: Students will learn about the major biomolecules such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Meeting 16: Evolution: Students will learn about the different theories of evolution.

I am a veteran teacher with 30+ years of experience teaching Physical Science, Chemistry, Biology to High School Students and General Science to Middle School students. I hold a BS Degree in Zoology, Botany and Chemistry and a Masters in Curriculum and Instructions. I am Certified to Teach in South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. I believe that every child should be given an opportunity to learn by using differentiated strategies. I give multiple opportunities to students to become successful in their learning. During my leisure time, I like to draw, paint and also do a little bit of gardening.
