It covers essential components for successful learning, including the necessary materials, proper pencil grip, correct body posture, multisensory techniques, and practice in forming both lowercase and uppercase cursive letters. At the end of each lesson, we’ll reinforce letter formation and practice connecting letters to create and read exciting new words together! We will employ an "I do, you do" method throughout this step-by-step journey, integrating the Orton-Gillingham approach into our learning process. Students are encouraged to share their progress weekly for extra support, and I will also reach out to each family to provide additional assistance.

over 9 WeeksLesson 1:
Lowercase: Understroke or Swing Letters
In L1, includes a brief introduction and 44 minutes of lesson instructions. Students will discover the fundamental elements required for successfully navigating the course. We will concentrate on isolating each understroke or swing letters such as i, j, p, t, u, and w. Additionally, we will explore the unique variations of the Swing letters r and s. By the conclusion of the lesson, we will collectively review the letters and begin constructing words using the skills acquired in each segment.

Lowercase: Overstroke or Surf Wave Letters
In L2, our focus will be on breaking down each overstroke or surf Wave letter, specifically: c, a, o, d, g, and q. By the end of the lesson, we will come together to review these letters and start forming words by applying the skills we've developed in L1 & L2.
