What will be taught?
In this 9-week self-paced handwriting course, students aged 11-14 will master writing all 26 letters of the alphabet, combine them into blends, and create words. They will also practice writing their full name and design a unique signature. 

How is your class structured?
The course is structured into weekly lessons that introduce new letterforms and writing techniques, with two creative projects to showcase progress. By the end of the course, students will have developed a strong handwriting foundation and personal style.

How will you teach ?
This self-paced class is designed for flexibility and ease, allowing students to learn at their own pace with weekly video lessons, worksheets, and activities. Each lesson will focus on one or two handwriting concepts, starting with individual letter formation and progressing to writing words and sentences. Students will have the opportunity to submit their work for personalized feedback and suggestions. 

What is your teaching style?
My teaching style is encouraging and hands-on, offering step-by-step guidance and detailed instructions in an easy-to-follow format. 

How much will learners get to interact with you (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)?
Although this is a self-paced class, students will receive ongoing support and feedback through messages or emails if they need help. The course includes two projects: a mid-point project where students will create a cursive handwriting collage to show off their handwriting skills. The final project will consist of copying a short paragraph in cursive.

Learning Goals

Master Letter Formation: Students will learn to write all 26 letters of the alphabet, both uppercase and lowercase, with legibility and consistency.

Combine Letters into Words: Students will practice blending letters to form common words, enhancing their writing fluency and understanding of letter combinations.

Lesson 1:

Introduction to Handwriting

 Basics of grip, posture, and strokes.
Practice writing lowercase vowels.

Lesson 2:

Lowercase Consonants

 Writing consonants with practice worksheets.

Lesson 3:

Uppercase Letters

 Introduction to uppercase letters with practice.

Lesson 4:

Connecting Letters

 Learning to blend letters.
Practice creating common blends like "th," "ch," and "sh."

Learning Needs

This class supports learners with unique needs, including ADHD, dyslexia, or ASD, through flexible, step-by-step lessons and printable resources. I provide personalized feedback to help all learners feel confident and succeed.

Parental Guidance

This class does not include any content that may be upsetting or scary to learners. All materials are age-appropriate and focus solely on handwriting practice. No third-party tools or external accounts are required for participation.

No prior experience is required; just bring a positive attitude and a desire to improve your handwriting!

This class will primarily use original instructional materials, including custom-designed worksheets and video lessons created by me. No external books, articles, or websites are required for this course. All resources are provided within the class itself. I will use YouTube and Khan Academy for references.
