This 10-week course is the fourth and final class in a series designed to prepare high school students for a professional photography career. Students will focus on refining their photography skills, improving client interactions, and growing their business through networking and strategic planning. Each week, learners will share photos, provide updates on their business, and participate in discussions to enhance their workflows and client management. Weekly lessons also include business topics such as managing client expectations, tracking income, and exploring innovative ways to gain new leads. By the end of the course, students will have a clear plan for the future of their photography business and a portfolio of their best work. Each week, students will receive a new video lesson covering photography and business development topics. Learners will engage in hands-on assignments, such as analyzing client feedback, refining their editing workflow, and developing a system for managing income and expenses. Regular opportunities for peer feedback and instructor support help students build their confidence and improve their business strategies. By the end of the course, students will share a slideshow of their best work and have a roadmap for growing their photography business. Photography & Editing
Learners will post an update and give a short overview of what they photograph and what their current goals are for photography and business.

Client experience
Weekly business skills training will begin with the client experience. Students will create a poll to get crucial data about their target clients' needs. Learners will get responses for these polls and share their findings.

Client experience & workflow
Students will learn about managing client expectations and delivering a good experience for their target client. Students will practice and refine the consultation, research, and planning aspects of the workflow.

Supply List
A camera that allows the student to change their aperture, shutter speed, and ISO is required for this course. DSLR or mirrorless cameras are most common. Many students will be using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop at this point in their photography education.
