Syllabus

4 Lessons
over 4 Weeks
Lesson 1:
The Background
During week one, you will watch the "Intro Video" to learn how and why we meditate, why breath is important, and be introduced to some basic yoga terminology. You will next watch "Video 1" to learn how a yoga class will typically flow while following along with several beginner-friendly poses.
Lesson 2:
The Basics
While watching "Video 2", you will be introduced to another affirmation, a new breathing technique, and begin learning the Warrior poses while continuing to incorporate breathwork into the sun salutation learned during the first week. Journal prompts and other gems of information and activities will be left in the classroom to complete after finishing this week's video.
Lesson 3:
Building Your Toolbox
Week 3 will start with "Video 3". You will follow along with this video to learn new poses. Another affirmation and breath technique will be included at the start of the video to prepare the mind and body for a peaceful practice. Located in the classroom will be a journal prompt to work on as well as a short assignment to prepare for the final week.
Lesson 4:
Putting It All Together
Week 4 consists of watching "Video 4", a video with less prompting allowing you to complete a full yoga practice using all the tools in your toolbox. After watching the video, you will find the last journal prompt, a fun yoga activity, and a visual for practicing Sun Salutation B in the classroom.
