This is a self-paced class. There will not be any live classes. In this self-paced class, students will learn American Sign Language (ASL) through clear and easy to follow instructional videos. Students will have the ability to learn at their own pace. Students will learn everything from hand and finger placements to facial expressions, eye contact, conversational signs, greetings, letters, numbers, colors, and animals. Get excited because by the end of their first class students will already know the importance of ASL, different types of signing, fill in words, be able to sign 13 words with facial expressions, proper eye contact, and proper hand and finger placements along with 4 sentences! And that's just the beginning! We still have 7 more classes to go! Students are required to practice the new lesson each day for a minimum of 15 minutes per day along with prior lessons learned. This builds hand and eye cordination for muscle memory retention. Practicing more is encouraged. The ideal practice time is 30 minutes per day. The more you practice the more fluent you will become. Students are encouraged to share their skills as classes progress. This gives them an opportunity to be evaluated and given any correction as needed. You will have my full support for 16 weeks from time of purchase to help you with every step along the way!
