Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will determine and apply academic and beneficial techniques in managing their anger, stress, well-being, and time.

 
This is not a therapy class. As a High school and Sped teacher for over 8 years, I was able to deal with different levels of anger, emotional breakdowns, and stress among my students. I am also a  behavior registered technician and  school trained me to help my students overcome their anger, stress, and well-being issues through academic and beneficial techniques.
The students will be given an assignment based on what they learned. This is a reflection of the lesson that we will be having to gauge their understanding and to further respond to their needs in learning the topic for the next session.(depends on students' needs)
Learners will not need to use any websites beyond the standard Outschool tools. Paper and pen, coloring materials, and bond paper are necessary for written and output activities.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
The learner will have a weekly activity, quiz, or  written assessment at the end of every session.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
The course curriculum is based on the Purdue University courses Time Management, Well-being, Stress Management, and Anger Management. The curriculum itself is not discussed in class; instead, I created my own worksheets and other materials to assist students in applying the lessons taught in it as well as the lessons I believe apply to achieving the class goal.
