I am Juanita Foster. I'm a mother, mentor, tutor, coach to elevate my students' knowledge through engaging and activity-based teachings. I strongly believe that all children are capable of learning when given the proper motivation, environment, and effective instruction. I am ready to offer my best in coaching your children through a variety of subjects. Those subjects include leadership, business management, study skills, arts, etc. by meticulously incorporating a humorous and informative style of teaching to clasp students' attention and address their social and emotional needs. To be the best teacher for your student, I know that I must be a lifetime learner, which is why I'm currently studying Early Childhood Education.
These Activities will start in class. For homework, the learner will track and report during the next class. Week 1- My Goal Roadmap - Students create a creative roadmap portraying themselves from now to their goals. Week 2- My Daily Schedule – Students write down their typical daily time schedule. My time Chart – Students create their ideal time chart with 2 columns, ”How I spend my time” and “How I would like to spend my time”. My to-do list – Students create an action plan, a to-do list incorporating a time management plan to achieve their personal goals. Students learn to assign importance to goals and to prioritize Week 4-Discussion & creative poster: Amazing benefits of the internet and social media and potential dangers. How to stay safe on the internet? Discussion on issues such as spreading of rumors by social media, online predators, etc
Week 5- Self-Assessment – Students identify the status of Most-Satisfied and Least-Satisfied in Social, Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Environmental and Emotional Areas with a graph. Students then list some of the things they can do to improve the balance in these areas.
