Description
Class Experience
By the end of the lessons, students will be able to identify the importance of self-compassion and identify methods for practicing self-compassion.
I have been an educator for over 25 years and I have often taught mini lessons about self-compassion and students being gentle with themselves. Often times, students are hard on themselves when they make a mistake or don't do well academically. I believe direct instruction in self-compassion is necessay to develop self-awarness. I have purchased the program Empowering Education and have completed the training available to all teachers.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
