Is there "trouble" when your child sees "double?" Or, is your mathematician looking to "BEE an expert" at their doubles facts? If so, then this course is for you! In this "Ketchup and Mustard" course, Mrs. B reviews the concepts of doubles facts 0-10, along with the strategies of doubles +1 and doubles -1. In an "I Spy Picture Find," students will then interact in a collaborative activity where they uncover a hidden riddle picture by correctly finding the sums of doubles facts. For all...
Students will be reviewing doubles facts and practice applying the doubles +1 and doubles -1 strategies when finding the sum of a number.
1 sheet of paper and pencil or writing utensil.
Informal assessment is provided through the interactive I Spy Picture Find activity and can be expanded upon by request.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
