Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
In this 4-week course, Pre-k/kinder learners will be introduced to, and practice in multiple ways, 16 sight words necessary for them to be successful readers. Sight words are critical to reading because they occur very frequently, cannot be easily sounded out or illustrated. This class will help students recognize their words on SIGHT, so they can become successful readers.

This class will be taught using various methods of delivery, in order to reach learners whether they learn best by hearing, seeing or singing; therefore maintaining their focus and attention. We will sing, chant, spell, read and write the words. Two or three new words will be introduced each week, as well as a review of previously taught words. By the end of the course, your learner will read simple sentences made up of sight words. I will assess each learner throughout the course to target instruction.

To be successful in this course, learners MUST already know all letters and sounds.
