In this course, learners will get a supercharged intro to phonics to review 1st grade skills, prime them for 2nd grade, or as a review for 3rd grade.

Are you ready to supercharge your year in reading? During this ongoing course, learners will be given an introduction to a wide variety of first and second grade phonics skills. Each 30 minute class will highlight a specific skill, and are not cumulative. Learners are able to enroll in the whole course, or pick and choose the weeks' topics that are needed most to review first grade skills, prime the learner for second grade, or give them a great stepping stone for third grade. Learners will gain knowledge of many 1st and 2nd grade phonics skills, and apply their knowledge when reading and writing words.
Homework Offered
Students will not be assigned homework, but will be given opportunities and prompts to review their learning outside of class.Assessments Offered
Student progress will be assessed through observation, and given verbal feedback multiple times during class.Grades Offered
Students should have access to a dry erase board, marker, and eraser for each class.
Nearpod, Blooket, and Kahoot: These are free games to use, and there is no need to create an account or use a second device. Students answer questions in a game based form. A game link will be shared in live meeting, via the chat. Students that do not wish to play on their own team will be invited to play on the teacher's team.
