In this 11 week semester course your child will gain confidence in reading new English words. Phonics is the topic, but reading is the goal.

US Grade 2
This semester class is for second graders or those ready for second grade reading. Topics will range from "What is a vowel" progressing all the way through digraphs such as -er. The class will be structured as follows: Warm Up Phoneme Segmentation and Removal/Addition. Lesson about a phoneme or sight word. After I show the new skill, students will practice that skill with me, then will get to practice independently. This "I do, We do, You do" method of teaching has been show to be best practices. Learners will move their bodies, play games, watch an occasional video clip and complete original worksheets on Google Slides. All learners are welcome. Level of English needed: intermediate or higher, B2, C1 I've taught ESL classes online for 7 of years. I am a certified TFOL teacher.
