Middle Grades Writing Camp

Learners will be taught how to format a 5 paragraph essay. They will learn how to respond to a prompt, whether it's argumentative or informative and what both of those writing styles look like. I will use different writing prompts and anchor sets so that learners can see examples and use them as models for their own writing. I will teach learners how to annotate sources and find evidence for their thesis statements. This writing camp will be designed for learners to ask questions, engage with each other and me and have fun with writing!
